Marisa tried to recruit Bar for the "Birthright" project, fell in love and immigrated to Israel to live with him • Zvi and Alma will celebrate 30 years of marriage in their second home - Hadassah Hospital, where they work

Love at home and in the corona department:

Zvi and Alma Friedlander, parents of three sons, are celebrating 30 years of marriage this month.

They will probably celebrate Valentine's Day, Valentine's Day, within the walls of Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, where they spend most of the day and are much more than at home in Tzur Hadassah.

Prof. Zvi Friedlander is the director of the internal medicine department at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, and from the outbreak of the corona, he is also the director of the busy corona department.

Alma is a social worker at Hadassah, and since the beginning of the epidemic she also works in the Corona ward and helps patients and their families.

"Zvi and I are childhood friends," says Alma, "our paths met when we were really young, and as the years went by we realized that we were meant for each other. Zvi's path was clear to him. I always knew I wanted to work in the health care system but I did not know exactly what I wanted to do, and I learned different things.

"After graduating from social work, I realized that I had finally found my place. I joined Zvi at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, and today we both see it as a home. Despite what everyone thinks, we hardly meet at work because we are both very busy every day. Even if "We are both on the same floor or ward, we only see each other at home like any other couple, but with more topics of conversation in the last two years. From the outbreak of the epidemic the work has become much more intense, especially for deer."

As for Zvi, Alma emphasizes that "as an intern and as a department manager, it is not that he is not used to a lot of work in departments even without Corona, but the epidemic has changed a lot and doubled the work. The familiar routine has disappeared. "Nights. Everything became more challenging, and the whole family adapted to the new situation. The children know that we have a big load and the house is the comforting, containing and relaxing place, and there is a lot of love and lots of paragon, so in the end it is always fun to come home."

Zvi and Alma make sure to maintain small moments of closeness and love: "There are benefits to working together. Since we both come from the same world, we understand each other and it makes it easier for both of us to process things. Whenever possible we try to go on long walks in nature. We learned to enjoy the country trails and landscapes.

We do not give up on it.

These are moments when we run away from everything and let the wind lead us. "

"I made an aliyah to live with my beloved in Israel"

Marissa Braver (26) came to Israel from California as part of "Birthright" about five years ago.

"I lived as a Jew in the United States and really wanted to visit Israel," she says. "It's always interesting to visit new places.

But during the tour here I learned so much about Israel, I fell in love with it and knew I would want to visit here again. "

Marissa Braver and Bar Turgeman,

Upon her return to the United States, Marissa assisted in recruiting new participants for the world's largest educational tourism project.

"I immediately went into a dating app for Jews and tried to recruit people."

At the time, Bar Turgeman, 28, was visiting with his family in the Los Angeles area as part of a bar mitzvah trip for his brother.

"I decided to extend the trip and continue alone without the family," Bar recalls.

As a result, Bar wrote to her that he did not meet the criteria because he had already made a discovery in the past as a soldier, "but that only increased the interest on her part," he says, "We talked quite a bit and went on a first date at the beach, not far from her house. And I really enjoyed every moment. "

"It was love at first sight," Marissa adds.

"A month after we met, I decided that I was making aliyah to continue living with Bar in Israel."

Bar laughs, in response: "Everything with us was about speeds. Already on the second date I met Marissa's mother, and very quickly the rest of the family as well."

About six months after they first met, Marisa immigrated to Israel and moved to Bar with Haifa.

Today she works as the director of social pillars, and is a student of aeronautical and space engineering at the Technion.

"The transition was not easy for Marissa, but she did not give up," says Bar.

Marisa concludes: "I did not enter the dating app to find love, but in the end I met my partner through it and moved to Israel. I am grateful for this right."
